Fontenelle Forest Photo Club Meeting Minutes

Welcome by: Kathleen Crawford-Rose

I. Old Business:

We are still rotating meeting duties with our board members.

Open Positions: We are in need of volunteers for the Photo Club -President, Vice President and Photo Display Organizer. Please consider volunteering for one of these positions.

II. New Business:

  1. Kathleen started the meeting following the Raptor shoot. She thanked the FF raptor team for bringing the birds out for our annual evening photo shoot. She presented a $300.00 donation for the Fontenelle Forest Raptor Program from the Photo Club. This goes toward food and expenses of the raptors.
  2. Kathleen thanked Donna Gray and Phil & Sue Mininni for treats tonight.
  3. Kathleen provided the treasury report: current balance $739.72. Income from dues $18.00. She reminded members the annual dues will increase beginning in September 2024. The cost will be $20 for single, $30 family. Photo club members must also be a member of Fontenelle Forest.
  4. Donna Gray remined members of the photo contest drop-off and “hanging” @ Bellevue University, Hitchcock Humanities Center/Criss Auditorium. Saturday, May 25th. Dropoff is from 9:00-10:00 AM with the hanging by categories to follow. Please have your photos delivered and ready to hang between those hours. It takes time to catalogue and assign numbers to the entries, sort and hang in appropriate places. We need to be done by noon, as the doors will automatically lock. If you have questions, please contact Donna Gray @ her email: djg618@yahoo.com. Please have your digital contest photo emailed to Donna Gray @ the above address between May 15 and June 7th. Failure to send digital photos will result in disqualification in the contest. The contest rules are posted on the photo club website.
  5. We are in need of volunteers to sort and hang the contest photos on Saturday, May 25th. If you are able to help, please bring a hammer and step stool if you have one.
  1. Phil shared that the calendar on the website is up and working. He also mentioned the new slide show photos are up and running on the club website.
  2. Attendees: 19
  3. New Members: 4 individual observing the club tonight
  4. We had a beautiful evening @ Camp Brewster for the annual Raptor Photo Shoot.
