Happy New Year everyone! If you like taking pictures in the snow, I am sorry, we have not had much of an opportunity this month. It is still early. I myself am enjoying the mild weather.
Jay Davis will be our guest speaker for the March 19, 2020 meeting. He is a past president of our club. Jay will be discussing architecture photography. Check out his website .
Dues
Kathleen tells me some of our members have yet to pay their dues. Please bring your membership current.
Baright Gallery Photos
Judy has received contact from two members to arrange to pick up their photos from the Baright Gallery display. There were a total of five people that did not pick up their photos on December 31. I sent individual emails to those members. If you had not picked up your photo(s) and did not receive an email from me please contact me with a good email address. I will try to connect you with Judy so arrangements can be made.
Bellevue Library
“People Walking Dogs” photos are now hung at the Bellevue Library, 1003 Lincoln Rd, Bellevue, NE. If you are in the area please drop by.
Forest Display
We are now able to display our subject matter photos at the forest. The display racks are now located in the main atrium. We are showing our “Snow and Ice” or Judy says “Ice and Snow” photos. We had too many submissions this time for the number of spaces. Later on Judy and Frank will go and swap them for some of the others.
January 16, 2020 meeting
Ken Smith will be our featured speaker. He will be discussing astro and nighttime photography. Check out his website .
Mingle Forum
Are there any of you members, subscribers…etc using our Member Forum section? This plug in is an older one that has not been updated for a long while. None that I can find. It maybe one of the reasons I can not update a security (PHP) database. I would like to obtain a newer plug in program that will replace the forum with a similar one. Leave a comment below and I will also bring it up at our next meeting.
In Closing
Thanks to all of you for your support and kind words of encouragement. I once again want to thank our board members for their participation and helping make our club work. I hope to see you all at our next meeting. Phil
