Just a quick reminder that our first meeting of the season is this Thursday, 9/15. We will start off with a photo shoot in the forest near the Nature Center. Members are encouraged to come to the Forest at 6:30 pm to shoot the various plants, flowers and birds around the Nature Center. Then at 7:30 pm will we begin our meeting inside the Nature Center.
Currently, the plan is to meet in the Forest Room, but due to preparations that are being made for an event on Friday, we may need to meet in the lunchroom area that is off of the hallway just before you reach the Forest Room.
For our first meeting, we will have a slideshow of our best photos of the summer. If you haven’t done so already, please send your top 3 or 4 photos of the summer to me at the email@example.com e-mail address. Photos should be sized to 2000 pixels on the long edge and the resolution set to 72 ppi. If you have difficulty re-sizing them, just send them as is.
Also, yearly club dues are due at the September meeting. The dues remain the same, $12 for an individual or $20 per family and you must be a Fontenelle Forest member.
We will be collecting photos in September for our photo displays in the Nature Center and the Bellevue Library. The subjects for the September photos are:
- City Skylines
- Rows – any images depicting row-like patterns
In November we will be collecting photos of leaves and fountains.
Please remember to add your name, the subject and the location on the back of each photo you submit. The photos can be 8×10, 8×12 or 11×14. No mattes or frames please.
Also, winners from the photo contest will be able to pick up their photos at the meeting. If you are unable to pick you pictures, they will stay on display in the Nature Center until they are replaced with the new display photos.
Please let me know if there are any questions. Otherwise, we’ll see you on Thursday!
