Awards/Critique – Thursday, June 19, Last club meeting of the summer!
We are trying something new this year with the contest results.
At the June club meeting being held at Bellevue University Humanities Building at 7 pm on June 19th, every member should cast a vote on arrival to the meeting for their favorite Photograph in the contest, before finding their seat for the club meeting. This is for the Member’s Choice Award.
The judging results for the annual show, Member’s Choice & People’s Choice Awards will be revealed at the members meeting by the President of the Club at the end of the general meeting. By waiting until the meeting to reveal the results, the People’s and Member’s Choice Awards will not influence by any Awards already handed out.
It will also be nice to recognize each winner of a ribbon at the meeting. After all the awards are announced our Contest Judge will be introduced and he will say a few words about this year’s show. We will then go out of the meeting for the critiquing by our photo contest Judge. Please ask any questions during the critique, this is a great learning opportunity for everyone.
All Photographs that won a first or second place ribbon or best of category, will be taken to the Bellevue public library to be hung up for the general public to view. They will be returned to their owners at our club meeting in September.
All Photographers that received an award ribbon of any color should send a digital copy of their photo to the webmaster (Pete) of the club, so they can be put up on the website for the year.
