Meeting Minutes – November 19th, 2015

President Peter Carbonell called the meeting to order and had new members and guests introduce themselves. Approximately 40 people attended the meeting.

Members who ordered the club t-shirts were able to pick up their orders during the meeting. A big thanks again to Doug French for putting this effort together.

Announcements:

For a short time after the last meeting, the photo club website and club email had some issues, but all issues have been resolved.

Prints for display at the Forest and the Bellevue Library are needed. At the next meeting we will be collecting photos for February/March and April/May displays. Subjects for the February/March displays are church windows and anything white, i.e. snow, clouds, white birds, etc… Subjects for the April and May are neon signs and Canines(wild or domestic). We’d love to see everyone participate in this activity. It is a great way to practice our skills and show the people in the community what our club is about.

Our next meeting on Thursday, December 17 at 7 pm will be our Christmas holiday potluck and members slide show. The club will provide the meat and non-alcohol drinks. Members who have not yet signed up with their potluck side dish should RSVP to Kathleen (katcr@cox.net) by December 14th.

For the slideshow, members should email three of their favorite shots of the year to webmaster Pete Carbonell at webmaster@fontenelleforestphotoclub.org. The photos should be  2000 pixels on the long edge with a resolution of 72 ppi.

Presentation:
Alan Holtmeier from Rockbrook Camera presented a very informative program on the uses of speedlite flash in your photography. A big thanks to Alan and Rockbrook Camera for putting this program together for us.

See you all at the next meeting!
