February Meeting Minutes

Meeting Minutes for February 19, 2015.

It was a pretty cold evening so only 24 members were in attendance.

Jake Olson gave a presentation on portrait and stock photography. He also spoke about using social media for marketing. You can follow Jake Olson Studios on Facebook. You can also find his tutorials by googling Jake Olson Eyefi and Jake Olson 500PX.

Next month, Rockbrook Camera will give a presentation on using your digital camera for video.

If you are interested in holding an office in the Fontenelle Forest Photography Club, the offices of president and secretary will be available next season. Please let Allen Kurth know if you are interested in these positions.

The March meeting is also the deadline to bring in your display photos of the sky and winter scenes.

Doug French also gave updates about the upcoming photo contest. All photos must have a wire hanger and the longest side can be no greater than 25 inches. This year, any colored matte is acceptable. Please also remember to put your name, address and phone number on the back of the frame.

Set up for the contest is Saturday, May 30th at 10:00AM. The critique and people’s choice awards are Thursday, June 18th at 7:00PM. Take down is Saturday, June 27th at 10:00AM.
